Purchasing Ecopipo is casting a vote in the type of world we want our children to thrive in.

Store dirty diapers in a special diaper bag or bag, if they have poop, or use bamboo liner, you must remove it before storing/washing the diaper. Diapers should be kept dry. If you live in a humid area, we suggest that you remove the inserts from the diapers and place the diapers in a breathable bag.

Diapers should be washed maximum on the 3rd day, if you live in a humid area try not to exceed 2 days.

Place the diapers and absorbents in the same washing machine load, remember that if your diapers has  Velcro, you must put the “bobs” in the internal white safety Velcro box to avoid damaging your diapers and inserts during the washing.

Start with a cold pre-wash, then add the recommended amount of Ecopipo detergent, if you use another brand of biodegradable detergent use half the dose recommended by the manufacturer. If your washer machine allows it, we suggest that you wash it with hot water. Finally, perform a cold rinse.

We suggest you lay your diapers with the white or inner part of the diaper facing the Sun, that way any stains left will come off. Diapers should not be more than 45 min in the sun.

If you have a dryer, you can use it for your inserts, but we recommend only using it during rain season, take advantage of the disinfectant benefits of the Sun and use less energy.

Store your diapers again verifying that the inserts are completely dry.

It is super important that you be very careful of the detergent you use, we do not recommend any commercial detergent since residues may affect the operation of your diapers or your baby’s skin.

  • Never use fabric softener
  • Never use bar soaps
  • Never use vinegar
  • Do not use Chlorine

This wash is very important, you must put the bamboo absorbents in very hot/boiling water. It is very important that you only put the absorbents and NOT the diaper.

Once you have put the absorbents in the boiling water, add about 2 or 3 drops of dish detergent per 10 absorbents. This routine helps the natural oils from the fibers to be removed and the bamboo to reach its maximum absorption level. After you have soaked them in for 20 minutes you can transfer them to the washing machine and add the diapers to the load. You can now wash the bamboo absorbents with the diaper and the microfiber absorbent.

Remember NOT to use the following:

  • Chlorine
  • Softeners
  • Vinegar
  • Iron
  • Bar soap
  • Chafing ointment

Yes. You can use the dryer as long as you dry your diapers and absorbents at low temperature. In order to keep them in better condition, it is preferable to dry them in the sun because the sun will eliminate any stains the diaper or absorbents might have.

It pollutes much less, it is much cheaper, it does not contain chemicals like gelatinize liquid. It allows air to pass so that the baby is fresh and its soft fabrics prevent chafing.

Because it is an intimate product, there is no return or change in cloth diapers, training pants or female cloth pads.
